Usha Mandal is a development professional based in Delhi, currently working as a Feminist Leadership Facilitator at Feminist Approach to Technology (FAT). In her role, she facilitates young women’s leadership and supports initiatives focused on gender equality, empowerment, and social change.
Alongside her facilitation work, Usha also contributes to accounts and financial management at FAT. She completed her Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) from Delhi University in 2019 and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration in Financial Management (MBAFM) from IGNOU.
Usha’s journey with FAT began in 2014 through the Young Women’s Leadership Program, where she successfully completed all levels. In 2018, she joined FAT as an intern and used her stipend to support her education, personal needs, and family.
She has also been actively involved in campaigns such as #NanhiBunde and #ApnaHaq, which engaged families and communities in conversations around early and forced marriage. Through films, community activities, and new media tools, these initiatives encouraged people to understand social issues from girls’ perspectives.
